Blogging is a new experience for me, but here I am! This is probably a great idea. Cindy, if you read this we are going to the drag races in Port Alberni on August 9th and were thinking of coming over to the cabin in the afternoon, do you think you will be there? Nothing else too exciting, other than my first attempt at growing tomatoes has been quite prolific, and we will probably sample them tonight! Amanda.
You're looking slim and fit as ever, Amanda. Was Darren the one who took the photo? Drag racing sounds like fun - nothing like a little fast and furious to get the blood pumping. Those tomatoes sound absolutely delicious. If I were in Nanaimo, I might just have invited myself over for that first sampling. I live in half of a duplex. The rather large, and quietly pleasant, woman next door (married to an equally chubby and pleasant young man) planted some vegetables in front of her half off the duplex back in May. I generously offered her all the gardening space in front of my half if she cared to plant seeds there too. She took me up on the offer, and now there is a long row of tomatoes and peppers and squash growing. The squash leaves tumble half way across my door step. But no complaints from me. As I told her, I love watching gardens grow, though I am not much at planting them. I did pretty well tending granny's back in the day.
